University of Surrey

This customer success story showcases the strong relationship Data Integration (Xchanging Technology) has with the University of Surrey, and highlights how this partnership has led to increased business growth for the University.

Data Integration (Xchanging Technology), has partnered with the University of Surrey for many years, providing security and traffic management solutions including managed services.

In 2009, Data Integration was selected as the partner to provide a fully managed service for the University’s entire network infrastructure, including Extreme LAN equipment and wireless LAN as well as the existing security landscape. Subsequent projects that have been undertaken include design and deployment of a full refresh of the campus network infrastructure, firewall replacement when existing JANET links were upgraded and a complete network infrastructure implementation for a new state-of-the-art School of Veterinary Medicine.

In addition, the provision of a managed service to the Surrey Technology Centre has enabled the University to meet the exact SLA requirements needed by its tenants, many of whom are in a critical “incubator” phase in their business growth. To secure this prestigious contract, Data Integration was able to demonstrate the benefits of expertise and solid relationships with vendors such as Extreme Networks, Palo Alto Networks, Infoblox, A10, Juniper Networks and Allot. The University also appreciated the flexible approach to partnership, based on an in-depth understanding of the Higher Education market from Data Integration helping deliver the best value by tailoring the service delivery to the ever-changing requirements to support the University’s
wide user base.

The latest project success within this ongoing partnership is for a network implementation for the new School of Veterinary Medicine.

The University’s choice of Data Integration as the on-going supplier was based on being a trusted advisor which continues to deliver the best in class networking infrastructure and support capabilities for their business needs.
