Data Integration appoints Technical Services Head to grow services and support

06 Oct 2008

Ex-Extreme Networks’ Mark Slater is appointed as Technical Services Manager at Data Integration.

To enable its evolution from a reactive support model to a proactive service and support partner of choice, Data Integration has today announced the appointment of Mark Slater in a newly-created position as Technical Services Manager. Ex-Head of Extreme Networks’ US worldwide Systems Engineering teams, which delivered technical services to the worldwide sales organisation, Slater will be responsible for the strategic development of Data Integration's proactive and managed support services as well as complementing the Technical Services teams’ technical expertise with more customer focus.

Mark Slater says, My objectives are clear. I aim to maximise Data Integration’s considerable investment in services and support, and further the company’s ambition to be the service and support partner of choice for all our customers and suppliers. Proactive services aren’t new, but the challenge revolves around understanding risk and its management. By sharing all of the risk and working as a truly integrated partner delivering a true extension of our customers’ business, we become an integral part of the problem, its risk, and its solution.

Slater’s appointment will enable Data Integration’s Technical Director, Adrian Taylor, to focus on building the company’s Professional Services capabilities.

Simon Crumplin, Data Integration CEO, comments, We are extremely privileged to have Mark Slater joining our team. The technical and management experience he brings from his roles at Extreme Networks will hugely benefit both our customers and our employees. We are seeing strong demand for additional support services from our customers and Mark's appointment will help us to realize the potential of this area of our business.
